Died, Hastings, 2nd April 1875

For many years an active member and Colour Sergeant of the L company Jas Shoolbred and co. Queens Westr [Westminster] Rifle Volunteers

Erected to the memory of an esteemed comrade  by the officers and members of his company.

Jas Shoolbred had a drapers and house furnishers in Tottenham Court Road from 1820’s and stopped trading 1931.

 Their furniture is highly collected. One of their number commanded a company in the QWRV.
